Hi, we're the Little Lowe Fam!

Josh, Katy, Brooklyn & our pup Ella

About Us

The Lowe Family exists to be faithful to Christ by making disciples through deep relationships and serving the Church.

We are first and foremost passionionate about about Jesus. Josh and I met through a campus ministry at Pittsburg State University (GO-RILLAS). We joked as we got to know each other that the only thing we truly have in common is our love for God. I’d argue that’s the most important thing we can agree on and that everything else pretty much falls into place after that.

We are also passionate about community. We believe deep relationships are the best avenue for making disciples. In 2021 we were blessed with our sweetest relationship yet through our daughter, Brooklyn, we believe she is our most important opportunity for disciple making.

And last but not least we are passionate about the local church. Josh and I could spend hours talking about God’s love for His church. We recently moved and we’re so looking forward to being more settled so that we can find our place to serve. We believe God’s mission for our family is to be a kingdom outpost in Kansas City and we believe the local church is the best place for us to find other Christians to partner with.

Our hope is that this blog would encourage you to identify your family or personal mission and to serve the Lord wholeheartedly in pursuing that mission.

“But we encourage you, brothers and sisters, to do this even more, to seek to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, so that you may behave properly in the presence of outsiders and not be dependent on anyone.”                                                                                                                   – 1 Thessalonians 4:10-12

Josh

The ultimate handy husband. Josh is currently working in marketing for a local organization and just recently started his own business, 10 Gen Construction. He renovated our first home pretty much by himself and built a YouTube channel using his videography skills! Josh is loving being a new dad, he loves Brooklyn’s sleepy snuggles, making her giggle and taking daily walks down the street to get the mail.

Katy

I’m currently a work from home mama. Thanks to Covid I became a remote employee for a large manufacturing company and have the opportunity to stay home with my girl. Most days are really wild but I’m thankful I get to be home with her. I also recently started a business, 27th & Monroe, using my vinyl cutter to make baby onesies and acrylic signs. It’s my voice you’ll read in most posts on this website.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn is our sweet daughter. She has brought us more joy than we could imagine. Little B loves her mama, daddy and her puppy. She also loves to eat and really likes bananas. She is very active and has a great sense of humor, we can’t wait to learn more about her personality as she grows.

Ella

Ella is our sweet, snuggly, ball obsessed pup. She is a German Shepard – Walker Coonhound mix. She has the best personality and loves being with her humans.
